Plumbline began when Ada Brandt, a site carpenter, got tired of watching homeowners get one price at the door and another at the end. She bought a van, printed her prices on the back of a business card and promised to stick to them.
Fifteen years on, the van is a fleet of three and the business card is this website, but the promise hasn't moved. You get a drawing, a fixed price and the same faces on site every day.
